High-Quality Training From Certified Instructors
We offer New York State–approved pistol permit training (read about why you need one here), live-fire qualification, one-on-one beginner lessons, advanced skill classes, and more. Our instructors are experienced, approachable, and passionate about teaching, and we have the track record to prove it.
We teach literally thousands of students every year, both in our on-site classrooms and at large-scale training events at the Kodak Center, where we’ve instructed thousands of students at a time in a single weekend. Education is a significant part of what we do, and we currently host one to two full classes every month to keep up with demand.
Whether you’re preparing for your NY permit, sharpening your skills, or starting from zero, our training team is dedicated to giving you the knowledge and confidence you need.

Pioneers of “The Modern Firearm Shop” in Western NY
Since opening in early 2014, we’ve been one of the first shops in the region to offer a full firearm rental program. Try before you buy has always been a core part of our philosophy, because nothing helps you make the right decision like real experience on the range.
In 2014, Brandon (our owner) was just 26 years old, and our youngest employee was 18. Today, the average age of our team is 27. We’re a young crew bringing fresh ideas, built on decades of wisdom from the gun stores, instructors, and firearm enthusiasts who came before us.
We represent the new age of gun store employees: where firearm ownership is welcoming and accessible. We firmly believe that women can (and do) handle far more than just a revolver, and that every person, regardless of background or experience, deserves respect and support as they learn. The Second Amendment is for EVERYONE.
Our goal is simple: keep the traditions that matter, modernize the ones that don’t, and build a firearm community where everyone feels at home.

We specialize in helping people purchase their very first firearm. Whether you need help choosing a firearm, understanding safety fundamentals, or navigating New York’s permit process, our team is here for you every step of the way.
When you’re ready to shop, we’ll pull out dozens of popular handguns and help narrow down which models truly fit you, your hands, your experience level, your goals, and your comfort. We encourage questions, take our time, and make sure you leave feeling confident, informed, and supported.
Our Hours (As of December 8th, 2025)
The range closes an hour before the store for non-members, and a half hour before close for members
Monday:
Store: 12 PM – 8 PM
Range: 12 PM – 7 PM (Members until 7:30 PM)
Tuesday–Saturday:
Store: 10 AM – 8 PM
Range: 10 AM – 7 PM (Members until 7:30 PM)
Sunday:
Store: 10 AM – 5 PM
Range: 10 AM – 4:30 PM
We stop running background checks (Guns and Ammo) 30 minutes before the shop closes.

Firearm Rentals
• Buffet-style rentals: $35 per hour (charged by the hour).
